Product Description

PNC-27 (5mg) is a synthetic peptide supplied exclusively for controlled laboratory research, analytical testing, and in-vitro experimentation.

PNC-27 is a 32-residue chimeric peptide containing a p53-derived sequence connected to a membrane-residency sequence. Laboratory investigations may use PNC-27 to examine peptide–protein association, membrane localization, HDM-2-related binding behavior, and changes in membrane structure within defined experimental systems.

Each lot is accompanied by analytical documentation. Researchers should consult the lot-specific Certificate of Analysis for reported identity, purity, and testing information.

The primary concern for peptide researchers today is product purity.  Nord-sci guarantees our product purity by performing independent testing of our products and providing those certifications for our customers in our product descriptions.

THIS PRODUCT IS NOT INTENDED TO TREAT, CURE OR DIAGNOSE ANY CONDITION OR DISEASE AND IS NOT FOR HUMAN CONSUMPTION. ALL PRODUCTS OFFERED ARE INTENDED FOR LABORATORY RESEARCH USE ONLY.

Storage Guidelines

All products are produced using lyophilization (freeze-drying), a preservation method that allows peptides to remain fully stable during shipping for approximately 3-4 months. Once a peptide has been reconstituted with bacteriostatic water, it must be refrigerated to maintain integrity. After reconstitution, peptides typically remain stable for up to 30 days when stored properly.

Lyophilization, also referred to as cryodesiccation, is a specialized dehydration process in which peptides are first frozen and then exposed to a low-pressure environment. This causes the water within the vial to transition directly from a solid to a vapor (sublimation), leaving behind a dry, crystalline white material known as a lyophilized peptide. In this powdered form, peptides may be safely stored at room temperature until they are ready to be reconstituted with bacteriostatic water.

After delivery, peptides should be protected from heat and light. If use is expected within the near future (whether days, weeks, or a few months) refrigerated storage below 4°C (39°F) is generally sufficient. Lyophilized peptides are commonly stable at room temperature for several weeks or longer, making short-term ambient storage acceptable when use is anticipated within that timeframe.

For extended storage, ranging from several months to multiple years, freezing is strongly recommended. Storage at -80°C (-112°F) offers optimal long-term stability and helps preserve peptide structure and quality over time.

What Is PNC-27? Research Background and Mechanistic Context

PNC-27 is a laboratory-synthesized chimeric peptide composed of two sequence regions. The first corresponds to residues 12–26 of p53, while the second is a membrane-residency sequence.

Published in-vitro research has examined PNC-27 in connection with HDM-2-associated membrane models. These investigations have evaluated peptide localization, peptide–protein association, membrane organization, and pore-structure observations in defined cell-culture systems.

These findings represent experimental observations obtained under specific laboratory conditions. They do not establish clinical utility, human outcomes, or an approved medical application.

Research involving PNC-27 should incorporate defined controls, validated analytical methods, documented cell-line characteristics, and reproducible assay conditions. Variables such as sample concentration, exposure period, temperature, culture environment, analytical platform, and baseline HDM-2 expression can affect experimental observations.

Important Research Notice: Nordsci Peptides provides lot-specific analytical documentation for laboratory recordkeeping and material verification.

THIS PRODUCT IS INTENDED EXCLUSIVELY FOR LABORATORY RESEARCH USE. NOT FOR HUMAN OR ANIMAL CONSUMPTION. NOT FOR CLINICAL, DIAGNOSTIC, THERAPEUTIC, VETERINARY, FOOD, COSMETIC, OR SUPPLEMENT APPLICATIONS.

PNC-27 – Key Research Applications

1. Cellular Membrane Interaction Studies

PNC-27 may be incorporated into controlled in-vitro assays examining peptide localization and interaction with cellular membrane structures.

Researchers may evaluate membrane-associated fluorescence, permeability markers, structural observations, or related analytical endpoints. Experimental conclusions should remain limited to the tested model, assay design, and laboratory conditions.

2. Tumor-Associated Biomarker Pathway Research

Laboratory studies may examine PNC-27 in cell-line systems selected according to membrane-associated HDM-2 expression.

Comparative experiments can include HDM-2-characterized cell lines, negative controls, reference materials, and predefined analytical endpoints. Results from these models should not be interpreted as evidence of clinical performance or suitability for human use.

3. Peptide–Receptor Binding Models

PNC-27 may be evaluated through controlled binding, localization, or colocalization assays involving HDM-2 and related membrane-associated structures.

Applicable laboratory methods may include fluorescence microscopy, immunolabeling, flow cytometry, biochemical binding assays, or other validated analytical techniques. Method selection and interpretation remain the responsibility of qualified research personnel.

4. Comparative Cellular Response Frameworks

Research programs may compare PNC-27 with vehicle controls, sequence controls, reference peptides, or untreated experimental groups.

Researchers should document cell-line identity, material lot number, assay timing, environmental conditions, instrumentation, and analytical thresholds. Separating these variables provides a clearer basis for evaluating whether an observation is associated with the experimental material or another component of the study design.

Handling and Research Use Considerations

PNC-27 should be handled only by qualified laboratory personnel using institutional procedures for synthetic research peptides. Laboratory records should document the material’s identity, handling history, and experimental conditions.

  • Product and lot identification
  • Certificate of Analysis verification
  • Receipt and storage dates
  • Storage temperature and temperature-excursion history
  • Experimental concentration and assay conditions
  • Control materials and analytical methods
  • Instrumentation and disposal documentation

Avoid contamination, unnecessary moisture exposure, repeated temperature cycling, and uncontrolled environmental conditions. Material showing unexpected discoloration, compromised packaging, or an undocumented storage excursion should be evaluated according to the laboratory’s material-control procedures.

No preparation, administration, clinical application, or in-vivo instructions are provided. Researchers are responsible for complying with applicable laws, regulations, institutional policies, and laboratory protocols.

PNC-27 – Certificate of Analysis (COA)

Lot-specific Certificates of Analysis provide documentation related to the identity and analytical characteristics of PNC-27. Depending on the testing completed for the applicable lot, documentation may include the following:

  • Product identity
  • Lot or batch number
  • Reported purity
  • HPLC data
  • Mass-spectrometry data
  • Appearance
  • Testing date and laboratory information
  • Storage instructions

Researchers should review the applicable COA before incorporating the material into an experimental workflow. Results reported for one lot should not be attributed to another lot without reviewing the corresponding documentation.

Where to Buy PNC-27 (5mg) for Research Purposes
