IGF1-LR3, a modified version of insulin-like growth factor-1, has a longer half-life than standard IGF-1 because it does not bind to IGF-1 binding proteins well. It promotes cell division and growth, fat metabolism, muscle repair, and hypertrophy by inhibiting myostatin.
IGF-1 derivatives, including IGF1-LR3, stimulate cell division and proliferation in various tissues, but they do not promote cell enlargement. IGF1-LR3 also reduces blood sugar and insulin levels, making it a potential treatment for diabetes. It counteracts myostatin and promotes tissue repair and maintenance, making it a potential protective molecule against aging and various conditions.
